So I just heard that Alex Lifesson declared that Rush is no more after making music together for 50 years now. (Holy shit that's a lot!)
Not only are they arguably Canada's greatest rock band, and one of the greatest bands in Progressive Rock, but also one of the greatest rock bands in history thanks to many of their classic songs like "Tom Sawyer", "2112", "Freewill", and "Subdivisions".
Not to mention that they also had a flawless lineup all these years with absolutely no lineup changes since their hay day (Not counting Neil Peart replacing John Rutsey before their breakthrough) With one of the most multi-talented singers ever, Geddy Lee (Who also plays instruments like Bass and Keyboards extremely well). One of the greatest drummers in rock, Neil Peart. And arguably the most underrated guitarist ever, Alex Lifesson.
Now It is pretty sad that this great band is spliting up after such a long time, but maybe it's for the best,
